Traditional Summer Camp Programs
Camp Horizons has three programs that make up our traditional sleep-away summer camp. Two of them occur at Camp Horizons in Harrisonburg, VA. Each program is defined by an age range and is structured to provide greater independence in activity choices and greater skill development as our campers progress through the programs. Our highly trained camp counselors help connect with campers and guide our campers through a wide selection of activities and cabin life. Please check out what each program has to offer below:
Journey (Ages 7-11)
Our Journey campers are ready to take on new challenges, exercise greater independence, develop leadership skills, and practice self-expression. Journey campers choose their morning activities and sample the breadth of our camp offerings in their afternoon activity period that they attend as a cabin group.

Explorer (Ages 12-16)
Our Explorer campers have the opportunity to build their own camp by choosing all their activity periods and having the option to participate in off-site trips. Whatever their passion, we offer a variety of activities to make this the summer of their dreams.
